Questions
Is this Bokmål or Nynorsk?
Bokmål, the way people talk in Oslo. Spoken dialects vary a lot, but every line here is understood across Norway.
What does “sjekke opp” mean?
Å sjekke opp noen is to hit on someone. Han prøvde å sjekke meg opp means “he tried to hit on me”, and a pickup line is a sjekkereplikk. Both are in the pack.
What is a nachspiel?
The after-party at someone’s flat once the bars close, borrowed from German. Its partner is the vorspiel, the drinks before you go out. Nachspiel hos meg? is one of the Spicy lines in the quiz.
How spicy does it get?
Mild to spicy, never explicit: from Skal vi ta en kaffe? to Blir du med hjem?, “want to come back to mine?”. Nothing crude, and casual lines are marked.
Is the pack really free?
Yes. A free account keeps all 40 lines in your deck, with audio, an example and a note on when to use each one. No card needed.
