Questions

What is 告白 (kokuhaku) in Japanese dating?

Kokuhaku is the confession: telling someone 好きです (“I like you”) and asking 付き合ってください (“will you go out with me?”). Many couples only count as dating once one of them has said it. It’s one of the lines in the quiz.

Do Japanese couples say 愛してる?

They can, but 愛してる carries real weight and is said sparingly. Day to day, people say 好き or 大好き instead.

What does 既読スルー mean?

Kidoku surū means being left on read: LINE shows 既読 (“read”) and no reply comes. 未読スルー, which is also in the pack, is worse: they didn’t even open it.

How spicy does it get?

Mild to spicy, never explicit: from swapping LINE to 終電なくなっちゃった, “I’ve missed the last train”, and what that might mean. Nothing crude. Every line comes with romaji.

Is the pack really free?

Yes. A free account keeps all 40 lines in your deck, with audio, an example and a note on when to use each one. No card needed.
