Questions
How do you say “I like you” in German when you mean it romantically?
Say Du gefällst mir, literally “you please me”. Ich mag dich is warmer than English “I like you” but often just friendly. Ich steh auf dich is the casual, clearly romantic version.
Why shouldn’t I say “Ich bin heiß” when it’s warm?
With no weather in the sentence, Ich bin heiß reads as “I’m turned on”. For the temperature, Germans say Mir ist heiß, “to me it is hot”. It’s one of the lines in the quiz.
How spicy does it get?
Mild to spicy, never explicit: from asking for a number to Noch einen Absacker bei mir?, the nightcap at yours. Nothing crude, and the cards say which lines are casual.
Is the pack really free?
Yes. A free account keeps all 40 lines in your deck, with audio, an example and a note on when to use each one. No card needed.
